PACK RAT GAZETTE An e-zine for those people who find a use for every thing they should throw away

It is my humble opinion that the two legged packrats (homo sapiens) are just as much a victim of birth and the four legged variety (Neotoma cinerea). However, while the humble WOOD RAT is the only type of Neotoma cinerea, it seems that the Homo sapiens fall into several distinct categories. GRAB BAG PACK RAT - This
is the true pack rat. He/she collects anything that someone else throws away. VERITABLE PACK RAT -This pack rat collect only things that fit into his/her interest, talents or hobbies. The problem with this is that the VERITABLE PACK RAT has so many interest, talents and hobbies as to make them almost as bad as the GRAB BAG PACK RAT. The one factor that sets them apart is that the VERITABLE PACK RAT plans to use everything they collect. They also plan to get it all organized someday. Of course someday seldom comes, and if he/she does make an attempt at organization, the job is so monumental that it never get finished. I am a VERITABLE PACK RAT. MONOMANIAC PACK RAT -My mother was a MONOMANIAC PACK RAT. Everything she collected had to do with sewing in some way. It was fabric, patterns, trims, buttons, etc. She also kept these things well enough organized that she could find and use them when the occasion arose. I am not sure this is a real PACK RAT. What kind of PACK RAT are you? If you do not
fit into one of the categories defined here, tell me about your type of
collection, and I will post it here.
PRAYER FOR TODAY May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let His presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
